形態特徵

• A small tree, the branchlets scabrous.
• Leaves broad-ovate, the apex acuminate, sometimes long-attenuate, 12–15 cm long, 5–10 cm broad, the margins entire, 7-nerved, with small nectaries at base of the nerves, covered with small scales when young; petioles 6–12 cm long; stipules subulate, deciduous.
• Flowers axillary, solitary, the pedicels stout, 2–3 cm long, scaly; epicalyx-segments 3, deciduous; calyx truncate, coriaceous, about 1.5 cm across; corolla yellow, dark purple inside; petals obovate, about 6 cm long; ovary 10-celled, the stigma club-shaped.

分布

• 台灣 : Along the seashores of Hengchun Peninsula.
• 世界 : Widely distributed in the tropical regions of the world.
